I love Kylie Kent’s books. Her books are a lighter read than some of the others that I like and a change of pace is sometimes good.
The De Bellis Crime Family series, although not my favourite series of hers is still worth the read. I like the overarching theme that she has going on and I look forward to the fifth and final book, A Sinner’s Truth, that is scheduled to be released on 1 January 2025.
A Sinner’s Promise
⭐️ 4/5
🌶️ 3/5
Giovanni in A Sinner’s Promise is the perfect book boyfriend. He’s into the chase and doesn’t give up regardless of how much Elouise might reject him. His gestures are sweet beyond words.
Some might label this as dark romance, but to be honest it doesn’t come close to being dark romance. I guess if you are trying to venture into the world of dark romance, it might be a good place to dip your toes into the water. You know, getting into it gradually and all that.

A Sinner’s Lies
⭐️ 3.5/5
🌶️ 3/5
A Sinner’s Lies isn’t a bad book, it just isn’t my favourite Kylie Kent book.
However, something that was really great was the character development that happened in this story.
I also liked that you can feel the inner struggles that the characters have to endure.

A Sinner’s Virtue
⭐️ 5/5
🌶️ 4/5
Back to fangirling about Kylie Kent. A Sinner’s Virtue is one of those books that will keep you up till sunrise regardless of what happens the next day.
Also, you might need a few tissues to survive your all nighter. Because both of the MCs in this book have their own pasts to deal with. But in the end, the character development in this story is just so beautiful, you can’t help but be in awe.

A Sinner’s Saint
⭐️ 3/5
🌶️ 2/5
I’m in two minds about A Sinner’s Saint. On the one hand it was heart wrenching, soul crushing. But it was also frustrating beyond belief.
While the book was well written, it didn’t fit with the rest of the series. I didn’t like that, unlike his brothers, Vin is still in school. It gave the book an entirely different vibe and I honestly felt like it was written for a younger crowd than the other books. Yet, Vin’s trauma makes it inappropriate for younger people.
And the thing is, Vin’s demons are described in detail. If you’ve read the previous three books, you’d suspect that it was bad. But seeing it from his point of view is an entirely different story. It will break your heart.
