Absolute Silence is yet another beautiful mafia romance written by Jill Ramsower. It is the perfect read if you want the vibes of a mafia romance, but not the darkness that most mafia romances possess.
Plot Summary

When Camilla decided to explore her darkest fantasies by joining the Lion’s Den club, she did not expect her life to change as dramatically as it did.
She did not expect to see anyone she knew there, least of all her sister’s brother-in-law, Filip De Luca.
In exchange for him not telling her father that she joined the club, she had to agree to let him be the master of her journey.
She thought she could to it, but she did not expect that their agreement would end up much more complicated than a simple physical relationship.
My Thoughts
This is another great book by Jill Ramsower. As with her other books it is not super dark as is the norm with mafia romance. Yet, it is so beautifully written.
I really love the MMCs in Jill’s books. They really care about their women and would do anything for them.
Although this is technically an age gap romance, the focus is not solely on that as in many other age gap romances. This isn’t critique or anything, though. It is just an observation. I think that the way it is written is what makes this book special.

Quotes
“Neither of us was a match for the unspoken chemistry that sizzled and popped in the air around us. As though fate charted our course, and we had no say in our destination.”
– Camilla Genovese
“There was no light without darkness. No bravery without fear. It was our imperfections that defined us—made us stand out from the crowd. Would we vanquish those demons and be seen for our strength or succumb and become notorious for our weakness? The answer lay in the choices we made each day.”
– Camilla Genovese
“Camilla had seared herself into my being, branded herself in my thoughts, and planted roots deep inside my soul. There was no walking away now.”
– Filip De Luca
“I want it all. Every bit of madness. I’d rather go fucking crazy for you than walk away and never have this again.”
– Filip De Luca
“I didn’t just want to put a smile on Camilla’s face. I wanted to be there for all her smiles. I wanted to know why she cried and wipe away her tears. I wanted to be her everything because I would be nothing without her.”
– Filip De Luca
“You’re woven so deep inside me that running from you would be running from myself. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no unraveling us from one another.”
– Filip De Luca
“Camilla was so much more than I ever imagined when we first crossed paths. Like two planets colliding, our budding relationship shifted my center of gravity until my priorities no longer revolved around myself. Camilla was all that mattered. Guiding her, supporting her, protecting her, and making her mine in every way possible. My life was no longer my own, and for once, that prospect didn’t scare me in the slightest because I knew down to my bones that she was meant to be mine.”
– Filip De Luca
“I was terrified I wouldn’t find you in time. And the possibility of you being hurt because of me, it was … it was unbearable.” His voice was thick with emotion, laden with vulnerability. He clutched me tightly against him, his adoration a healing bandage wrapped around my wounded heart.
